THE TEAM
The Commercial and Brand functions are responsible for driving profitable demand, brand equity, and long-term enterprise value across Rosewood Hotel Group’s most strategically important markets.
Mainland China is a critical source market and strategic growth engine for the portfolio. The China Commercial and Brand organization partners closely with Global Commercial, Brand, Digital, Operations, CRM, and Property teams to shape market strategy, strengthen brand relevance, accelerate demand, enhance distribution and conversion, and ensure the brand is locally resonant and commercially effective for the Chinese consumer.
This role reports to the SVP, Commercial, Global, with a dotted line to the VP of Brand Marketing & Communications, Global.
YOUR ROLE
As Senior Director, Commercial and Brand, China, you are the senior commercial and brand leader for the China market. You will set direction and drive integrated commercial performance across Rooms, Food & Beverage, Wellness, and Ancillary, covering both inbound and outbound demand across the Group’s portfolio.
You will provide strategic leadership across the full consumer lifecycle, from market and brand positioning through demand generation, revenue optimization, and sales effectiveness, ensuring global commercial and brand strategies are translated into locally relevant execution aligned to China market dynamics and Chinese consumer needs.
Working closely with global and regional stakeholders, property leadership, and functional teams, you will align priorities, build capabilities, strengthen brand equity, and deliver sustainable growth across the China market and Chinese consumer base.
HOW YOU’LL MAKE THE PLACE
- Lead the overall commercial and brand strategy for the China market across rooms, F&B, and ancillary, aligned with global objectives.
- Translate global commercial and brand priorities into market-specific strategies reflecting local consumer behavior, digital ecosystems, and distribution dynamics.
- Provide strategic oversight of revenue management, commercial products, distribution, and sales performance across the portfolio.
- Guide integrated, full-funnel brand marketing and demand generation strategies, ensuring strong local relevance and measurable commercial outcomes.
- Partner with Global Commercial, Brand, Digital, CRM, Operations, and Property teams to ensure alignment, consistency, and best-practice sharing.
- Support commercial planning for existing hotels and new openings, including go-to-market strategy and early performance optimization.
- Act as a senior advisor to leadership on China market trends, opportunities, and risks, stewarding brand integrity and values.
COULD THIS BE YOU?
- You bring deep senior-level commercial leadership experience with strong exposure to the China market, ideally complemented by brand and marketing expertise.
- You have broad experience across commercial strategy, revenue optimization, sales, brand management, and digital marketing within complex, matrixed organizations.
- You demonstrate a strong understanding of China’s digital, social, and distribution ecosystems, and how to activate them effectively.
- You have a proven track record of driving revenue growth, optimizing demand, and delivering commercial results through influence and collaboration.
- You are skilled at building, leading, and developing high-performing teams and sustainable talent pipelines.
- You are a strategic, analytical, and persuasive communicator, fluent in both Mandarin and English.
- You hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
