Job Overview
We are seeking a creative, dynamic, and experienced Director of Culinary Operations to lead our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, developing innovative menus, maintaining the highest standards of food quality and hygiene, and contributing to the hotel’s reputation as a culinary destination. This role requires strong leadership, a passion for culinary arts, and a deep understanding of luxury hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead and manage all culinary operations across multiple outlets, including banquet services, restaurants, and bars.
· Develop seasonal menus that reflect innovation, quality, and alignment with Rosewood’s luxury standards.
· Ensure consistent food quality, presentation, and portion control in all culinary offerings.
· Oversee kitchen operations, including inventory management, cost control, and procurement, to achieve financial targets.
· Maintain strict compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
· Train, mentor, and inspire the culinary team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
· Collaborate with the Food & Beverage team to design and execute unique culinary events and promotions.
· Monitor industry trends and incorporate innovative techniques and concepts into kitchen operations.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure the highest quality of ingredients.
· Participate in strategic planning to enhance guest satisfaction and drive revenue growth.
Qualifications and Requirements
· Proven experience as a Director of Culinary Operations or similar leadership role in a luxury hotel or high-end restaurant.
· Culinary degree or equivalent professional certification preferred.
· Extensive knowledge of international cuisines, culinary techniques, and current food trends.
· Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, cost control, and inventory management.
· Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
· Creative mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
· Fluency in English; proficiency in Mandarin or Cantonese is a plus.
