Job Summary
Responsible that all bars in the hotel are always properly equipped, maintained and cleaned. Ensure that all bartenders are properly trained and follow cocktail standards and recipes. Enhance the beverage knowledge of all bar associates to guarantee a professional guest approach to maximize revenue & profit.To function as the Business Manager and a Marketing Specialist for the bars, to ensure bars operate successfully, in accordance with the standard of the hotel and are individually profitable.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities – (Key Activities)
Administration
- Assists to ensure that the Food and Beverage activities are aligned with the respective corporate strategy, especially beverage part and that the hotel actions have been implemented where appropriate.
- Oversees the preparation and update of individual departmental operations manuals.
- Conducts bartender communications meetings and ensure that meetings are effective and conducted as necessary.
Guest Satisfaction
- Ensures that all bartenders deliver the brand promise and provide exceptional guest service at all times.
- Assist with all bar associates also provide excellent service to internal customers in other departments as appropriate.
- Handles all guest and internal customer complaints and inquiries regarding beverages in a courteous and efficient manner, following through to make sure problems are resolved satisfactorily.
- Maintains positive guest and colleague interactions with good working relationships.
- Establishes a rapport with guests maintaining good customer relationships.
Personally and frequently verifies that guests in the bars are receiving the best possible service.
Marketing
- Evaluates local, national and international bar market trends, vendors and other bars operations constantly to make sure that the bar’s operations remain competitive and cutting edge.
- Continuously seeks Marketing and Public Relations opportunities to increase awareness, ultimately business and win awards.
Operations
- Ensures that minimum brand standards have been implemented.
- Ensures that all Food and Beverage Essentials are implemented.
- Works closely with other Managers in a supportive and flexible manner, focusing on the overall success of the hotel and the satisfaction of hotel guests.
- To assign responsibilities to subordinates and to check their performance periodically.
- Ensures that bar associates work in a supportive and flexible manner with other departments, in a spirit of “We work through Teams”.
- Tastes and monitors the beverage products served throughout the operation, provides feedback where appropriate and quality control.

Qualifications
- Positive “can do” attitude, motivated, passionate and seeks opportunities to be multi-skilled and trained.
- Guest-driven and friendly. Outgoing, pleasant personality with significant guest interaction.
- Able to accept criticism from others very positively.
- Able to learn rapidly, adjusts and grasps changes quickly.
- High school or equivalent education required.
- Willing to work long hours, irregular hours and on public holidays.
- Good reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.
Experience
- Three to four years’ managerial experience in Hotel Food and Beverage operations or freestanding lifestyle restaurants
- Minimum three years of food & beverage in a Mixologist similar position in a well-established hotel.
